Arbor Lux was designed and installed for a client living on the Chicago River.  The platform is half-supported by naturally fallen silver birch trees, the tops of which were removed, molded, and cast into luminaries and lit with LEDS.  This process allowed the natural texture of the tree to continue uninterrupted from the trunk to the luminaire.
